AGO have been crowned champions of LOOT.BET Nation Elite Esports Cup after defeating Windigo 3-1 in the final.
Following the end of the round-robin group stage, four teams progressed to the semi-finals of this €25,000 (~$29,500) online tournament. Windigo were the first team to book a spot in the final after defeating LPSP on three maps, with AGO following suit after fending off the threat of GODSENT.
The title decider kicked off on Cobblestone, AGO's map pick, with the Polish side jumping out to an 8-0 lead. Windigo still mustered five rounds before the end of the half, but they could not keep AGO from taking the map, 16-11.
On Inferno, AGO, the map that followed, the first half ended with a close 8-7 scoreline in AGO's favour, but then the Polish team ran riot on the Terrorist side, winning eight rounds straight to finish off the map.
Windigo, who had won the Esport Balkan League Finals on Saturday, gave a much better account of themselves on Train, where they cruised to a 12-3 lead after playing on the CT side. In the second half, the Bulgarian team were held off any economic development by AGO as they could not string rounds together but still managed to win the map, 16-9.
The final map of the series, Overpass, followed the same pattern as Inferno as AGO produced a flawless Terrorist side display after a keenly-contested first half, locking down the series to earn themselves the grand prize of over $7,000.
